Concrete Cutting

A saw cut. Not a knockdown.

Concrete cutting is a controlled saw cut, not a house take. Openings in a slab, a wall that has to stay, a failed driveway bay, or a line that isolates what the excavator must not take. We look at thickness, access, and what has to stay before we quote. There is no public rate per metre on this page. We hold NSW demolition licence AD214505. Call 0487 549 909.

Concrete Cutting – Elite Demolition & Excavation Sydney & Central Coast

What we offer

Slab cutting

Openings, stair wells, and controlled saw cuts in a slab that has to stay.

Wall cutting

A clean opening in a wall that is not coming down.

Driveway and path cutting

Cut out a failed bay or a strip the builder needs open. Leave the pavement that still works.

Cuts before a knockdown

Isolate a slab or path so the machine does not take what has to stay.

How concrete cutting runs

  1. 01

    Photos of the cut

Send the suburb, a couple of photos, and what has to stay. That tells us whether this is a slab opening, a wall cut, a driveway bay, or a stay-line before a knockdown.

  2. 02

    Site look

Thickness, access, and what is likely running through the concrete. We do not write a final number from the kerb.

  3. 03

    Mark what stays

The stay-line is agreed before the saw starts. The rest of the slab, wall, or pavement is not treated as waste.

  4. 04

    Cut

The saw follows the mark. The job is the cut, not a smash-through to keep a date.

  5. 05

    Lift and cart

The cut section leaves the site. It is not left for the next trade to trip on, and it is not mixed into a load that is meant to stay.

  6. 06

    Leave the opening

The remaining concrete is left so the next trade can work. If the house is coming down after the cut, that knockdown sits on the house demolition page.

How Elite keeps the cut controlled

These are the controls we actually use. We do not invent a public rate, a yearly job count, or a saw brand.

No guess from the kerb

Thickness and access change the job. Photos help. A site look confirms the cut before anyone treats it as ordinary demolition.

Mark first

What stays is marked before the saw starts. A clean opening is the brief. Taking the rest of the slab is not.

Ask what is in the concrete

Services can run through a slab or a wall. We ask before we cut. We do not treat a saw cut as a smash-through.

Protect what stays

The remaining slab, wall, or pavement is the reason this is a cut and not a knockdown. It is not treated as waste.

The cut section leaves

Broken concrete is carted. It does not sit in the opening for the next trade, and it does not go into a load that is meant to stay on site.

Inspect, then quote

There is no public rate per metre on this site. Access, thickness, and how much has to stay change the number.

Why choose Elite for Concrete Cutting?

A knockdown takes the building. A cut takes a marked section and leaves the rest. The machine that drops a house is not the tool for a clean opening, a stair well, or a stay-line in a driveway.

We inspect, then we quote. Photos of the concrete and the access get that started. Someone still has to see the thickness and how a saw gets in. We do not publish a rate per metre on this site.

If the house is coming down too

This page is the cut. A knockdown, once the stay-line is in, sits on the house demolition page. A new driveway after a cut sits on civil.

Concrete Cutting FAQs

What is concrete cutting, as opposed to demolition?

A cut takes a marked section and leaves the rest. Demolition takes the building. If the brief is an opening, a stay-line, or a failed bay, that is this page.

Do you cut slabs, walls, and driveways?

Yes. Slab openings, wall openings, driveway and path sections, and stay-lines before a knockdown. Each of those sits as its own job on this hub.

How do you quote a concrete cutting job?

Photos first. Then a site look at thickness and access. We inspect, then we quote. There is no public rate per metre on this site.

What happens to the concrete you cut out?

It leaves the site. The remaining slab, wall, or pavement stays. The opening is left so the next trade can work.

Can you cut a line so the excavator does not take the wrong slab?

Yes. That is a stay-line before a knockdown. The cut isolates what has to stay. The house take still sits on the house demolition page.
